Youngest brother writes

Created by Michael one year ago
As his youngest brother growing up I always thought of Tony as the man of the house after dad had left mam and his three sons. Unlike introducing Terry to Man. City, Tony made the fatal error of taking me for my first game to Old Trafford and not Maine Road. I think I must have been around 6/7 years old but I can still remember the game nearly seventy years later United played West Brom and won 2-0 with goals from Johnny Berry and Duncan Edwards. I can remember him working for the Vulcan Boiler Insurance Company in Manchester before he left home to work in London. Back home in Manchester mam and everyone used to look forward to his letters etc from London, Birmingham, Johannesburg, Aachen or wherever he, Rona and the girls were living. I think what I will miss most will be are regular Thursday evening 7.00 chats were we would talk, mostly nonsense, about football, music, tv, politics etc. Still keep reading newspaper articles or watching Sinatra on YouTube and thinking must send that to Tony. I will sorely miss him. Michael
